The gaucho brown spider is a highly venomous recluse spider found in South America. It lives in dark corners, rock crevices and sometimes inside houses, so it is one spider people should know how to recognise.1

Leef in

Central and Southern Brazil, South America. It has also been introduced to Tunisia.1

It hunts insects and other arthropods, catching them in its strong webs. It is nocturnal, so it hunts mainly at night.1
