Himalayan pit viper
কামড়The Himalayan pit viper is a venomous snake that lives on the southern slopes of the Himalayas. It is special because it has been found at up to 4,900 metres above sea level, which makes it the highest living snake ever recorded. It is a shy, slow-moving snake that spends its days hidden under rocks and fallen timber.1

- Body is light brown or dark brown.1
- Long, marks on the upper body look intertwined because they are close together, with a row of slightly larger spots along each side.1
- Dark spots on the head.1
- Belly is light grey with small dark spots.1
- Head is wide and elongated, and the scales are large and symmetrical.1

যদি কামড়ায়
- মানুষটিকে স্থির আর শান্ত রাখো, কামড় খাওয়া হাত বা পা হৃৎপিণ্ডের উচ্চতায় রাখো, আংটি আর আঁটসাঁট জিনিস খুলে ফেলো, আর তাড়াতাড়ি হাসপাতালে যাও।

নিরাপদ থাকো
- কখনো কোনো বন্য প্রাণীকে ছুঁয়ো না, ধোরো না বা জ্বালিও না, ছোট হলেও, আর ঘুমন্ত বা মরা দেখালেও।
- এটাকে জায়গা দাও। যদি দেখা হয়, শান্ত থাকো, ধীরে ধীরে পিছিয়ে আসো আর এটাকে নিজের পথে যেতে দাও।
- যদি এটা তোমাকে কামড়ায়: শান্ত থাকো, নড়াচড়া কোরো না, তোমার জরুরি নম্বরে (১১২, ০০০, ৯১১) ফোন করো বা তাড়াতাড়ি হাসপাতালে যাও। মনে রাখো এটা দেখতে কেমন ছিল, একটা ছবি কাজে লাগে।
