The Guatemalan tiger rump is a tarantula that lives on the ground in El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico. It is kept as a pet in many places. Scientists now think the name may cover up to 13 separate species.1

자주 헷갈리는 동물: It is often mislabelled and sold as Davus fasciatus. Some related candidate species can be told apart by dark marks on the carapace and by pale leg markings or colouring. Light-legged animals are sold under the trade name Davus sp. "Oaxaca".1
