Caatinga coral snake

วิธีสังเกต

• Red, black and white (or yellow) rings, like most coral snakes.1
• Black rings come in groups of three, called triads, with two white rings between them.1
• The white rings are about as wide as the black rings.1
• The red rings sit between the triads. They are narrower than the triads but wider than a single black or white ring.1
• Adults usually measure 70 to 85 cm (2.3 to 2.8 ft) including the tail.1

มักสับสนกับ: It is often confused with Micrurus lemniscatus, a widespread coral snake with a similar colour pattern. The caatinga coral snake is large for its genus, and its ring pattern is the key feature to check.1
