The Morelos scorpion, Centruroides limpidus, is a scorpion from Mexico. It is one of the most venomous scorpions in the country, and it often lives close to people in warm, dry places.1

  • Four distinct stripes run along the head (cephalothorax)1
  • Males have 22 to 26 pectinal teeth, and females have 20 to 231
  • Males are slimmer, while females have a broader mesosoma1

มักสับสนกับ: It is often confused with C. infamatus, which has a more rectangular pectinal plate with no dimple. It is also similar to C. tecomanus, but C. limpidus has a small subaculear tooth on the bulb of its stinger. Genetic research shows the two are separate species.1
