Females have a bright green cephalothorax (front body section) and long green legs, with a lighter green abdomen that has a darker green stripe down the middle.1
Females are about 12 to 16 millimetres long, not counting the legs.1
Males are dark green-olive with a narrower abdomen, red sides and a red to red-brown middle stripe with yellow edges. They are about 7 to 10 millimetres long.1
Young spiders are yellow-brown with dark stripes. They only take on the adult green colours after their last moult the following spring.1
