¿Qué come?
It eats lizards, including Meroles lizards and the barking gecko Ptenopus. It ambushes prey by lying buried in the sand, then seizes and envenomates it when the prey comes close. Aporosaura lizards, which have high water content, are an important source of water for this snake.1
