Potere del veleno

Punture

Il veleno esce da un pungiglione.

Cosa fa il suo veleno?

Its venom contains ion channel toxins, including imperatoxin and pandinotoxin. Most people are not severely affected by its sting, and its venom does not cause severe symptoms in most people. Juveniles use their sting to paralyse prey, while adults rely mainly on their claws.1

Its sting is usually mild, similar to a bee sting in many cases. Most people are not severely affected, although some people may be allergic to scorpion stings in general.1

Cosa fa quando ha paura?

Adults do not normally use their sting to defend themselves, although young scorpions may use it.1
