The cockatoo waspfish is a small fish that lives on the sea floor. It is a relative of the scorpionfishes, and it is special because it copies a dead leaf to catch its food. It has venomous spines on its back fin, so it should be treated with care.1

見分け方

Its colour ranges from cream to dark brown, with irregular spots.1
Its back fin runs from the top of the head almost to the base of the tail, and when spread it looks like a cockatoo's crest.1
It usually stays on the bottom and moves using its pectoral (side) fins.1
It can grow up to 15 cm long.1
