Natterer's coral snake is a venomous snake from northwestern South America. It is large for its group and spends time both on land and in water. It is the most aquatic of the New World coral snakes.1

Northwestern Brazil, eastern Colombia and southern Venezuela, in the Rio Negro and upper Orinoco River drainages1

Its colour pattern is the same as that of Micrurus surinamensis.1
It is both terrestrial and aquatic, so it can be found on land and in water.1
