The black-footed yellow sac spider is a small, pale yellow spider native to the Americas. It hunts at night and does not spin webs to catch food. It sometimes lives in homes, but its bites rarely cause more than local symptoms.1

Ko tas ēd?
It feeds on a variety of arthropods, such as insects and other spiders. It does not use webs to catch prey. Instead, it actively hunts, detecting prey mainly through vibrations in the surface it sits on, and it can catch airborne prey while hanging from a silk line.1

Cik bīstams tas ir cilvēkiem?

Bīstamība cilvēkiem: SāpīgsTas var ļoti sāpēt, bet gandrīz nekad nav nopietni.

Bites are rare. Females bite more often than wandering males. The venom rarely causes more than local symptoms.1
