• Males have projections on the shin segments (tibiae) of their front legs.1

Savens confundì cun: It closely resembles Theraphosa blondi and reaches a similar size. It can be told apart by its thinner thigh segments (femora) and an extra stridulating organ (a rubbing structure used to make sound) on the second leg.1
