The Sind krait is a highly venomous snake from the cobra family. It lives in parts of Bangladesh, northwestern India, Afghanistan and Pakistan. It is easy to miss, because its banded colouring and stillness help it blend in.1

Young snakes have white spots on about a third of the body instead of bands. The bands develop as the snake matures.1
