Golden mantella

Mantella aurantiaca
名前について： Its scientific name comes from the Latin word aurantiacus, meaning gold.1

The golden mantella is a small frog, only about 2 to 2.6 cm long, that is found only on the island of Madagascar. Its bright yellow, orange or red skin is a warning that it is poisonous. It is one of the most threatened amphibians on the island.1
