Waterfall centipede
The waterfall centipede is a giant centipede that can live both on land and in water, which makes it the first known amphibious centipede. It is found in Southeast Asia, near streams and waterfalls. It is special because it hunts and swims in water, which other centipedes are not known to do.1

Dintlha
It is the first known amphibious centipede, meaning it can live both on land and in water.1
Its body surface is hydrophobic, so water rolls off and leaves it dry.1
It swims with eel-like side-to-side movements of its body.1
A specimen from Vietnam collected in 1928 had been misidentified as a different centipede, and was later recognised as this species.1
