The blue jellyfish is a jellyfish with a bell that turns a bright purple-blue as it grows up. It lives in the cool seas around the British Isles, the North Sea and Scandinavia, and it has many stinging tentacles.1

常被誤認為： The blue jellyfish is similar to the lion's mane jellyfish (Cyanea capillata). It is not as large as the lion's mane, and it has a translucent bell.1
