The dwarf lionfish is a small, spiny reef fish from the Indo-Pacific. It lives in shallow reef flats and lagoons, where it hunts small sea creatures at night. Its back fin spines are venomous, so it is one to admire from a distance.1

Hello arano
It lives in reef flats and shallow lagoons, at depths from 1 to 80 m, usually around weed-covered rocks on sandy seabeds. By day it shelters in caves, crevices and among sponges. Adults are often found on sponges, and small groups of juveniles gather on reef outcrops.1
