Anndal
All lionfish are immune to each other's venom.1
Group hunters sometimes blow jets of water at prey, a behaviour also seen in the invasive red lionfish in the Caribbean.1
Zebra lionfish were once thought to hunt alone, but they have been seen living and hunting in groups of two or three, both in the wild and in a laboratory.1
Its 13 venomous spines are joined by a clear, film-like membrane.1
Groupers prey on zebra lionfish.1
