Seoane's viper is a venomous snake that lives in the north of Spain and Portugal and the far south-west of France. It is a viper, a group of snakes with long hinged fangs that inject venom when they bite. Its colour and pattern vary a lot from one snake to another, which makes it hard to name by looks alone.1
