The curl snake is a heavily built, venomous snake that lives across much of Australia. It gets its name from the tight, spring-like coil it makes when threatened. Its venom attacks the nerves, so any bite needs prompt medical advice.1

A temporal dark-edged stripe, typically orange, running from each eye to the snout.1

Seek medical advice immediately. Immobilise the patient and apply a pressure bandage.1
