The Asian forest scorpion is a large, shiny black scorpion that grows to about 10 to 12 cm long. It lives in moist forests across Southeast Asia and parts of South Asia, and it has a venom sting that causes pain but is not usually deadly to people. It is also kept as a pet because of its size.1
