名字的由來： The specific name porcus means "pig", but the reason is not known. It may come from an old belief that the fish ate weed, which was later mistranslated as "mud".1

The black scorpionfish is a venomous fish that lives in shallow, warm-temperate seas. It rests on the seabed among seaweed and rocks, where its brown colours help it blend in. It is found in the eastern Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.1

It is a bottom-dwelling fish, usually found resting among seaweed and on rocks. It lives at depths down to about 800 m (2,625 ft). It is usually solitary and not territorial.1
