The slowest venomous animals

Some venomous animals hardly move. They do not need to: their venom or spines keep them safe, and food comes to them.

How do we know how fast they are?

Hardly anybody has timed a scorpion, a jellyfish or a cone snail. A few speeds are measured or widely reported, and they say so. All the others are our rough guess from the animal size and the way its group moves. Treat them as a fun guess, not a stopwatch.

Sizes come from Wikipedia where it gives them, otherwise they are a typical adult size. Tap an animal to see where its numbers come from.
