How we rate danger
Every animal gets a danger level from 1 to 5. It says how dangerous the animal is to PEOPLE: how bad a bite or sting usually is, and whether it has really hurt people. It is not a measure of how strong the venom is in a lab, and level 5 does not mean the animal wants to hurt you. Venom Wiki team rating, made from what is known about each animal.
Like a bee sting or less. Basically harmless to people.
It can really hurt, but it is almost never serious.
A bite or sting needs a doctor. Deaths are very rare.
It can kill a person who gets no treatment.
One of the most dangerous animals in the world.
Sizes come from Wikipedia where it gives them, otherwise they are a typical adult size. Tap an animal to see where its numbers come from.
